Pistachio Crumbs


So this is why I've never seen a jar of pistachio butter.

  1. Pistachios do not have a high content of oil it seems. What did you need pistachio butter for?

  2. Ground unsalted pistachios are great combined with cardomom and folded into softened vanilla ice cream -- but you knew that, didn't you?

  3. You could also infuse milk/cream with the ground pistachios to make the base for an excellent ice cream/creme anglaise/gelato. I've done this in the past to great effect.
