Trader Joe's Bread

Trader Joe's makes this whole-wheat Sourdough bread that is just hearty and delicious. I love it as toast, and pairing it with scrambled eggs makes one of my favorite meals. It likewise makes great grilled cheese and an awesome panzanella salad.

Here I've used it for a peanut butter and banana sandwich. I buttered both sides and am toasting it as if it were grilled cheese (am I the only one who does that with peanut butter sandwiches?).

No, you're not the only one who does this with peanut butter sandwiches. It's epic! :)

(You're not, actually. Isn't it wonderful when it's toasted that way?)

If you're feeling really indulgent, drizzle a little Nutella in there before grilling.

I didn't realize the TJ's tentacles were now in PA!

I like your blog a lot, but 'pairing' toast with scrambled eggs? The wording is a tad pretentious.

Really Matt? I can't say I agree with you. I think "pair" is a perfect normal verb

I am pairing the word 'pairing' with the words 'I - didn't - even - notice'.

I'm also a nutella in there as well fan.

Could you bake the scrambled eggs into the middle of bread? It would be all about timing.

I am pairing the word "pairing" with "you-are-very-funny-James"

Think you'd also like my husband's homemade boule, sometimes white, sometimes wheat, sometimes rye... using the now-famous no-knead bread recipe.

That said, the TJ boule looks delicious.

LOVE toasted bread with peanut butter, sandwich or not... also good with drizzled raw honey.

Must start toasting pb sandwiches. Really need to add pb sandwiches back into the mix of what "fast food" I like to make. Yum!
